Clothing for your vacation does not need to be difficult. Most important is to be warm and comfortable. Dress in layers with loose fitting clothing. One thing to remember is bright colors look the best in Aurora Portraits. All clothing can be bought on Amazon or at Costco for around $150 .

All Alaska Aurora Adventures / Aurora Lights Lodge cabin bookings / tour packages are refundable ( minus 20% Credit card booking fee) until 11am AST 14 days before the reservation date. After that no refunds will be made for any reason.

Fall
Early season Mid Aug - mid November: less local activities, warmer temps, can be cloudy. Mid August to early October are the only months you can get reflection pictures.
Early Winter
Mid November to mid December: most activities are available. Normally not too cold .
Mid Winter
Mid December through mid January: most things are available but it can be cold, Alaska has the least hours of daylight. Nights are typically cold, long and clear for some of the best Aurora viewing.
Early Spring
Late February-mid March: offers the most local activities and some of the best weather. This is the time to experience the World ice carving championships and Alaska's official state sport, dog sled racing.

We are a Aurora destination 99% of our Aurora tours are at our lodge rarely is it needed to go anywhere else. The Aurora is 30-300 miles above us and rarely does weather conditions justify going anywhere else.
A Vegan diet can be difficult in the Fairbanks area. Some of the places do have options but others do not. May need to make sure you buy proper food when we are grocery shopping to fit your need.
